1# SNEK HISS 2 3House about the hiss a listener hears in AI-made music. A codec picks tokens 4one at a time and something almost metallic creeps into the band between 3 5and 8 kHz, like a snake. The song hunts it band by band, finds it ("That's a 6snake"), and fixes it as a 2026 paper fixes its own codec: TQCodec's frozen 7codebook behind a linear projection. Then it takes the other road, a second 82026 paper's: WanSong's continuous tokens, flow matching and two stems in 9one run. The last chorus is clean, and the last sound is one small hiss. 1072 bars at 124 bpm as written; Jev arranges it live, choosing each 8-bar 11section, how much of each part plays it (the snake included), how the song 12leads into it, and how hard. 13 14- `SPEC.md` — what the song must be, what the papers say against what the 15 brief said they say, and the prompts and models that produced it. 16- `song.js` — the track. 17- `cover.webp` — a spectrogram with the snake in its band, drawn for the 18 song (a canvas page, rendered headless, 2026-10-03).
